FUNDRAISER TO SUPPORT CHARNELL AND MYLES SMITH

Charnell Smith and our family need your help.

Charnell, our mom and a much-loved member of the Ventura community, was recently diagnosed with fast growing and invasive breast cancer.

The diagnosis comes on top of her ongoing battle to help our step-father, Ventura City Fire Captain Myles Smith, recover from a career-ending, on-the-job injury, and subsequent leg amputation.

It has been a long, eight-year battle to help Myles recover. After finally receiving positive news on the healing of his amputated leg this year, mom was diagnosed with this cancer.

Mom has always been one to willingly give the clothes off her back to help anyone, and now she needs help herself.

She will be undergoing surgery to have a double mastectomy, followed by chemotherapy to hopefully put the cancer into remission.

We are planning an in-person fundraiser soon with more details to come but would appreciate any support you can provide today.

All donations will be used for mom’s medical costs and treatment expenses.

On behalf of mom and our entire family, we appreciate anything you can do to help.
